Research Interests
Bio-organic chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry, immunochemistry.
Synthesis of mono- and oligosaccharides and their mimics, aminosugars, thiosugars,
C-glycosylnitromethanes and other C-glycosyl, especially C-glycofuranosyl compounds,
macrocyclic and long-chain monosaccharides, lipid A mimics. Carbohydrate-based recognition
phenomena, affinity chromatography, chemisorption chromatography of sugars.
New cellulose solvents, homogeneous and heterogeneous modification of polysaccharides.
Transition metal-catalyzed isomerizations of sugars.
